Mercy & Care

Mercy and care ministries at Peace are comprised of these teams...

Mercy Ministry - The mercy team provides service, prayer, financial support, encouragement and other forms of general care to Peace members, members of our sister church, Wesleyan First Church of Deliverance in Raleigh, and special cases from our community. While church deacons serve as the primary leaders and decision makers for mercy ministry, there's always a need for volunteers to be the executors of these offerings.

Comfort & Care - This team works closely with the deacons to make sure those who are struggling with poverty, illness, death in the family and other forms of suffering are well loved. They visit shut-ins, provide meals and support for those who are ill or mourning, offer transportation and "handyman/handywoman" skills and do whatever else is necessary to be God's tangible love to people at Peace and in the Triangle.

The Soloist - This team is to build up those who have lost a spouse to death or divorce, particularly late in life. There are regular monthly gatherings for this group to offer companionship through meals, singing and Bible Study.

Stephen Ministry - This team is made up of specially trained caregivers who provide one-on-one weekly visits to listen, encourage and counsel individuals facing a time of crisis. Stephen ministers work to provide spiritual and emotional support to those who need it most.

Does one of these teams sound like you? Remember, God doesn't call the equipped, he equips the called. Complete the form below to find out how you can join Peace Church's mercy and care efforts.
