andy Andy Jones, Senior Pastor 

Born and reared in Birmingham, Alabama, Andy attended college outside Los Angeles at The Master’s College where he met his wife Leah, a native of Starkville, Mississippi.

After graduating from college, Andy worked at Valley Presbyterian Church (North Hills, CA), spent one year working in the music industry, and served as Director of Christian Education at Smyrna Presbyterian Church (Smyrna, GA). While working at First Presbyterian Church of Crystal Springs, he earned the Master of Divinity degree from Reformed Theological Seminary.

He and Leah have three children, Emma, Eliot and Daniel. A dedicated fan of Auburn football, Andy enjoys golf, collecting books, and studying American culture.

jerry Jerry McFarland, Associate Pastor

Jerry comes to Peace from “Up North” in Philadelphia, PA. After college, Jerry married his childhood sweetheart, Bev, and then served for ten years with Youth For Christ in Annapolis, MD.

Following graduation from Westminster Seminary, he returned to Maryland and served as Associate Pastor at a PCA church for ten years. He then took a call at Westminster as the Dean of Students where he has served over twelve years before coming to Peace.

Jerry and Bev have three grown children, Megan, Matthew and Erin, all married. They also have two grandsons – nearby in Durham!

Besides playing with his grandchildren, Jerry enjoys his family, meeting new people, reading and traveling.

brian-staff-page Brian Thomas, Director of Student Ministries

Brian originally hails from the beautiful Northeast corner of Alabama, but comes to Peace from St. Louis, MO where he attended Covenant Theological Seminary.  He has a deep appreciation for the arts, sports and hip hop dancing.      

After High School, Brian attended the University of North Alabama.  Upon graduation from college he found himself moving to Fort Payne, AL home to the country music group Alabama and Little River Canyon.  During his time there he would spend a year in the business world, two amazing years on staff at Grace Presbyterian Church, make some of his most treasured friends, but most importantly marry his best friend Jessica.

Brian and Jessica have a son, Noah.  They are always up for good company and coffee.

Sara was raised in South Carolina and is a graduate (and loyal fan) of the University of Georgia. After college, she lived in Texas and Florida serving at churches in both places. Her favorite things are good coffee shops, reading, music and getting to meet students with the Gospel.

 

cindyr Cindy Rayno, Office Manager

Cindy graduated from UNC-CH with a B.S. in Business Administration. After college she sojourned for several years in Illinois where she met her husband, Don. They have two grown daughters, Val and Amy. Cindy enjoys gardening, hiking, canoeing and knitting. 

 

richard Richard McKee, Music Director

Richard was born in Montgomery, AL and attended Birmingham-Southern College in Birmingham, receiving degree in Piano Performance. He then went to Manhattan School of Music and studied piano. Afterwards he moved to Chapel Hill to study Musicology at UNC, earning a Ph.D. degree.

Richard has served Music Director at Peace Presbyterian Church since 1996. He directs the Adult Choir and Church Orchestra, serves as pianist for the Praise Team, and oversees the other parts of the Music Ministry.

Richard is also a full-time Professor of Music at Campbell University where he is currently Director of Piano Studies and teaches Applied Piano, Music History, Piano Pedagogy, and Piano Literature.

Richard and his wife, Renee have four sons: Adam, Michael, Mark, and Alex. Renee is also a piano teacher and sings regularly with the Praise Team.

 

eve Eve Carriker, Director of Peace Presbyterian Children's Center

Eve and her husband, Bryan, have 3 children – Mary Kathryn, Morgan-Elizabeth, and Patrick. She received her Masters in Christian Education from Union Seminary/PSCE and has worked with children for over 15 years. She carries a passion for children of all ages and has a commitment to see their young lives impacted by the Gospel.
