Prayer #21: For Families During This Locked-In Period of the Coronavirus
This is indeed a trying time for families with children, especially for families where one or both parents are having to work from home. With the kids home from school, some of the required schoolings are at least in some cases falling to the parents, who are both also trying to get their vocational or household work done. The restrictions on getting out can create tensions in the home. So we want to pray for families, here, and across our country, today.
We do lift up families, particularly those with children who are locked-in. This can be a good opportunity for family time, and we pray that it would be. At the same time, we do pray for the parents who have job/household responsibilities to get done while they are also trying to give the needed attention to the kids. Pray for patience for both the parents and the children. Pray for wisdom for parents that are trying to help the students with online schooling (homeschoolers have the edge here!). Pray that some precious family memories could be made during this unusual time of confinement. Pray most of all that the love of Christ would rule in family life, especially now.
Ps. 127:1-4: "Unless the Lord builds the house, those who build it labor in vain."
