Prayer #217: For COVID-19 Infections in Nurses
A new report from the Centers for Disease Control (CDC), using data from the COVID-19-Associated Hospitalization Surveillance Network (COVID-Net) indicates that nurses, of all health care workers, have contracted COVID-19 to the highest degree. Of the over 6,000 adults that were hospitalized due to the Coronavirus between March to late May, 5.9% of these were nurses. Nurses make up about 36% of all health care workers. They are frontline workers who have frequent and close contact with patients, which raises their risks of infection.
Let's remember to be in prayer for nurses, especially those serving in hospitals that are treating COVID-19 patients. Pray for the Lord's protection over them from infection as they care for these patients. Pray that would be careful to observe all necessary precautions and to wear the needed protective equipment.
Ps. 119:114: "You are my hiding place and my shield."
