Prayer #341: For the Distribution of the Johnson and Johnson COVID-19 Vaccine in North Carolina
The new Johnson and Johnson COVID-19 vaccine has received final FDA approval and now there are more than 4 million doses of it that are being shipped to hospitals across the country. 80,000 of these doses are being sent to North Carolina. This is a single-dose vaccine that will be available to senior citizens and health workers, and now, in North Carolina, those in Group 3 (educators and school staff, and frontline essential workers, including firefighters, police, clergy, food and agriculture workers, manufacturing personnel, grocery workers, postal employees, and public transit workers, among others). Johnson and Johnson are planning to deliver 20 million doses of the vaccine to the United States by the end of this month and 100 million by the end of the summer. Today, the CEO of Johnson and Johnson said that the company is working hard "to make sure we follow through on all those commitments. I can't think of another time in history we've been able to ramp up at this pace."
Pray that those most in need would be able to receive either the Pfizer, Moderna, or Johnson and Johnson vaccines. Pray that the availability of this new vaccine would accelerate the pace of vaccinations across our state and around the country and world. Thus far, over 70 million people in the U.S. have been vaccinated with at least one dose of the two-dose vaccines.
Ps. 37:5: "Commit your way to the LORD; trust in Him, and He will act."
