Prayer #345: For Isolated Seniors and Their Need for COVID-19 Vaccination

As the COVID-19 vaccinations in states across the country open up to those in lower age brackets, there are still some seniors who have not yet been able to be vaccinated. This is especially the case with those seniors who are more isolated, living alone, and/or those who require assistance in moving about and transportation to vaccination sites. Some of these seniors lack family to help them. These are the unseen seniors, too frail, overwhelmed, or poor to help themselves take the steps to get scheduled for a COVID vaccination. The urgency is growing to locate and help these isolated seniors, since there will be more and more younger people getting vaccinated in the coming months, and, as the vaccination campaign moves on, such elders, out of sight, may well be forgotten. The vaccine rollout has favored seniors who are able to drive, get in their car and go to a vaccination appointment. Some of the older adults who have not received vaccination yet are, due to the lack of internet and e-mail, very disconnected and therefore not aware that they are eligible for the vaccine. If they are aware, they sometimes do not know how to make an appointment. Churches, non-profit groups, and senior advocacy agencies are hard at work trying to find these older adults who are falling in the cracks of the COVID vaccine campaign.

Pray that these vulnerable seniors who have not yet been able to get vaccinated for COVID-19 due to their isolation and lack of assistance would quickly be found and helped. Pray for success for those who are laboring to find these needy seniors. Pray that these older adults would get the help they need, for COVID vaccinations and many other things as well.

Ps. 22:24: "For He has not despised or abhorred the affliction of the afflicted; and He has not hidden His face from him, but has heard, when he cried to Him."
