Prayer #390: For the Current State of COVID-19 in North Carolina
North Carolina's level of COVID-19 thankfully has continued to remain low, even as vaccinations continue across the state at a good pace. Sixty-three of the state's 100 counties have remained at the same level of daily cases of the virus; nineteen of them now have lower levels, and the remaining 18 have higher levels, for the most part only slightly higher, with the exception of Edgecombe County, which has seen a more significant rise. Current averages of daily new cases of COVID-19 have been around 2,000. There are now about 1,000 people in North Carolina that are hospitalized due to COVID. Presently, 26.1% of North Carolina's population has been fully vaccinated for COVID. Exactly one-third (33.3%) of the 18+ NC population has been completely vaccinated, and 69.9% of the 65+ population of the state is now fully vaccinated. We can be thankful, too, that deaths from COVID-19 are now very low in the state. The current 7-day average of COVID deaths in NC is 20.
We indeed want to thank God for the continued low levels of COVID-19 in our state. Pray that there would be further reductions in the virus as we continue to move through the spring. Pray for further reductions in hospitalizations and deaths from COVID. Thank Him for all those who are serving so faithfully in North Carolina at vaccination centers throughout the state.
Ps. 103:11-12: "For as the heavens are high above the earth, so great is His steadfast love toward those who fear Him; as far as the east is from the west, so far does He remove our transgressions from us."
