Prayer #407: For the CDC's Forecast of a Sharp Decline in COVID-19 by July in the United States
The Centers for Disease Control (CDC) has recently released a report that predicts that most probably, there will be a sharp decline in the number of daily new cases of COVID-19 in the U.S. by July due to the continued progress in vaccination across the country, providing that masking and social distancing, where required, continues to be practiced. The CDC, in making this forecast, is relying on six models from various research groups. Even in the worst-case scenario, a steep decrease in COVID cases is predicted by the summer in this country. Even now, the number of daily cases of the virus has been slowly declining after leveling off for about two months. In early January, daily new cases of COVID-19 peaked, with a 7-day average near 260,000 new cases per day. As of yesterday, the 7-day average is 46,603. Virtually every day there is a further decrease in the number of new cases.
We indeed want to thank God for this considerable decrease in COVID-19 since this winter. Pray for this to continue as we head toward summer. Pray that by this summer, the virus would be virtually eradicated in our nation.
Ps. 135:13: "Thy name, O LORD, endures forever, Thy renown, O LORD, throughout all ages."
