During the Pandemic, our Kids Ministry looks a little different like Zoom Music Camp and Virtually VBS.
If your child would like to be involved, please contact Alisa.

At Peace, loving and leading children are top priorities. We want to partner with parents in their efforts to build a strong spiritual foundation for their children. Our prayer and pursuit are that each child would understand the saving grace of Jesus Christ, growing into mature disciples that live daily in light of God’s glory and grace.

Nursery Care

The Peace nursery offers loving childcare during worship services and Sunday school for infants and toddlers in rooms adjacent to the sanctuary. Childcare is also provided during scheduled Sunday evening activities.

In addition, we offer a “cry room” at the back of the sanctuary and a private room within the infant nursery for nursing mothers. Our childcare check-in process uses text messaging in the event that parents need to be contacted during services.

Children’s Church

Children’s Church (pre-school through 2nd Grade) is available during both worship services. In other words, you may take your child to room C-107 (in the Education Building) at any time during the worship service. A deacon is available each Sunday to escort families to this location following the music portion of the service. Through children’s church, we seek to teach kids that their parents are in the sanctuary to worship God and that when they are ready, they will worship Him with their families during the complete service too.

Sunday School

Sunday School is a key component of our mission to partner with parents in building a strong spiritual foundation for their children. Our church’s rich legacy of children’s education focuses first on loving and nurturing these young ones. We teach Bible stories and truths from God’s Word and add in enriching hands-on activities, scripture-based games and songs, and opportunities to learn how to get along with and love one another.

We offer classes for ages two through high school. Our deepest desire is to help each child grow to become a committed follower of our Lord Jesus Christ. Want more information? See what classes we're teaching this quarter

Sunday Night Groups

On Sunday evenings at 6pm during the school year, children have the opportunity to participate in age-appropriate groups, to learn the joy of praising and learning about God together and to strengthen friendships with other children their age.

Joymakers is for preschool age (3-5) and meets in room C107 in the Education Building.

Friendmakers (Kindergarten through First grade in C111) offers opportunities each week for younger children to appreciate God’s beautiful gift of music through listening, singing, and movement with instruments and props.

Peacemakers (Grades two through five in the Sanctuary) presents a full musical each spring. Director Becky Shedor has more than 30 years of experience with this group and, along with her team, provides training in drama, voice, and movement for the kids.

Playgroup for babies and toddlers

Footsteps Homeschool Group

Do you homeschool?  Footsteps Homeschool Group meets on our church campus at various times during the year.  It helps provide encouragement and support for members through fellowship, prayer, and assistance. Their activities include field trips, park days, extra-curricular functions and moms' meetings.  Visit their Facebook page or contact Carey or Elizabeth for more information.

Vacation Bible School

Peace Church loves VBS! This special one-week ministry is offered free of charge each summer with classes for kindergarten-aged children through fifth graders.  Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, we will not be hosting VBS in the summer of 2020.

Peace Preschool

Peace offers a weekday preschool with classes for two-year-olds through transition kindergarten. Our Preschool seeks to demonstrate the love of Jesus Christ to preschool-aged children while encouraging their mental, physical, social, and spiritual development. Director Jennifer McGehee and her early childhood staff would love to meet you and give you a tour! For more information, visit their website.

Peace has been the proud host of an active scouting program for more than a decade. To find out how your son or daughter can be a part of scouting at Peace, email Stan (for Cub Scouts and Boy Scouts) or Sara (for American Heritage Girls).
