At Peace, loving and leading children are top priorities. We want to partner with parents in their efforts to build a strong spiritual foundation for their children. Our prayer and pursuit are that each child would understand the saving grace of Jesus Christ, growing into mature disciples that live daily in light of God’s glory and grace.
Peace offers nursery (2 years old & under) and children's church (PK2-Kindergarten) at all our worship services, as well as, nursery during the Sunday school hour and Sunday evening activities.
Sunday School
Sunday School is a key component of our mission to partner with parents in building a strong spiritual foundation for their children. Our church’s rich legacy of children’s education focuses first on loving and nurturing these young ones. We teach Bible stories and truths from God’s Word. Find out all about the Sunday School classes offered here. Nursery (2 years & younger) is offered during the Sunday School hour, too.
Sunday Night Groups
We offer Sunday night groups for kids including Nursery (infants and toddlers), Joymakers (ages PK2/PK3), Friendmakers (ages PK4 - Grade 1), and Peacemakers (Grades 2-5). This gives our children the opportunity to participate in age-appropriate groups, to learn the joy of praising and learning about God together, and strengthen friendships with other children their age.
Joymakers (preschool ages PK2/PK3) offers opportunities for these little ones to play together and to appreciate God’s truths and beautiful gift of music through listening, singing, and movement with instruments and props. They meet in room C107 in the Education Building.
Friendmakers (PK4 - Grade 1) is an engaging hour-long class that blends music and play with biblical learning. This class provides a joyful environment to build friendships, learn more about the character of God, and develop a love for music. They meet in C101 in the Education Building.
Peacemakers (Grades two through five in the Sanctuary) present a full musical each spring. Director Becky Shedor has more than 35 years of experience with this group and, along with her team, provides training in drama, voice, and movement for the kids.
